Today I have taken some pictures for my magazine and just
tried out some simple techniques using pixel photo editing online. I found this
very basic editing technique quite eye-catching and effective. I have tried
many options of editing and this is the one I found in the time that a did it
most successful. All I did was change the hue and saturations to my colour more
vibrant and the played around with the brightness to control the back and the
shadowing from the body. In my personal opinion I really like all of these pictures.
I like the first one because it has no colour, believe it or not I feel the
contrast between the blacks and white could have a deep meaning into the artist
or character that the artist portrays. Maybe the darker black can show the
anger and hurt the character has endured of my it can show the dark power it
possesses and light can symbolise the good within her. Now all this is really
deep and meaning full however when added with colours the meanings kind of
become lost as a lot of colours have a lot of different means like Green is the
colour for nature however it can also be the colour for evil. Also regarding
this first picture I am worried about it being too plain for my magazine as my
genre is 'Show Tune' I feels the cover show be colourful and outgoing now mono.
Now this next picture I like it very much because the back ground has stayed black and white however the model clothes and props have been highlighted with some major colours like the blue and yellow. The hat has then tinted brown which gives it a vintage kind of retro look to it. the shadowing also creates a kind of floating feel or as the shadow has turned black could maybe symbolise the hiding of the darkness within the chacrater.I do like the images of the witch on the flaw as it show emotion and the passion that can be contained within the music. However as i'm writing this on a different day to when I started these photo edits I feel that i am deffinatly not going to use the photo edits with the half green a red women as they have been lost in translation as my magazine has developed in a different way to what I later predicted.
